2010-2011 Rookie of the Year

Generally the ROY is a foregone conclusion.  The last time there was a co-ROY was way back when Jason Kidd and Grant Hill shared it.  Most of the time some young whippersnapper either catches fire or the media pays attention and they start to tout this newcomer's basketball IQ.

This season will be different, and it's entirely possible that we could have co-ROY as well.  The early favorites? No other than Johnathan Hildred Wall Jr. and Blake Austin Griffin.

Wall is electric, whenever the ball is in his hands...he's dangerous.  He's also unusually unselfish to be so young.  He also seems to know when to get the other 4 their shots and when to get his own shot.  He needs to work on his j and hit the gym. He showed he was ready for the L his lone season at UK. Another year would have been wasting his time.

The writers here have written about what Griff can do.  The kid was all hustle at OU, and he's shown the will to put in the time.  The only thing that will limit his production (read: scoring and rebounding averages) is the presence of B Diddy and Chris Kaman taking points and rebounds, respectively.  If the Clips' curse doesn't strike him down, he'll have a good career... and then leave town and be great.  Ask LO.

Stank-0 is hoping that we get co-ROYs because it's hard to choose one over the other right now, just wait til they start ballin for real.
