Seems that hockey players aren't BALLIN like their NFL and NBA counterparts.  The Edmonton Oilers found themselves in a dispute over a bar tab.  The article makes them sound like @ssholes and cheap.  Not a good combo.

He told the press that the players “went ballistic to the point where they started threatening, denigrating my staff, saying ‘We're the Edmonton Oilers – we expect a 50 per cent discount.' ”

You can't make this stuff up. Actually a commenter put it best. 

Cut them a break, it's been years since they've popped champagne.
