Gettin brolic

Filed under: , by: Stankoniforous 0ne

Aight, all these fights in the league last night.  Let's break it down so it stays broke(n).

Skip vs. House

House tossed a chicken wing at Skip and got smacked in the back of the head for it.  House wanted to claim that he was "bustin @ss" and Skip tried to take him out of his game.

Stank-0's assessement: tit for tat.  Bows = gettin smacked upside the head.  No crime here.  Emperor Stern is hittin Skip for a game outta his paycheck.

Fish vs. Scola

Scola started this up with Odom and then switched to gettin in Walton's grill piece.  So on the beginning of a play, Fish straight up laid Scola down with a super chicken wing.  Then he tried to front like he to hit in the head.

Stank-0's assessment: open and shut.  Fish did look back to size up Scola, then he trucked him. Stern co-signs as well.

Kobe vs. Ron Ron

Artest was pushin Kobe under the basket (Ron Ron is strong no lie) Kobe tossed a chicken wing at the neck, and Artest got whistled.  Ron Ron got upset (as he should have) and let Kobe know about, gettin tossed.

Stank-0 assessment:  Intent should not matter, what happened is that Kobe tossed a bow and hit someone in the neck.  At the very least that should have been a flagrant 2.  Emperor Stern disagreed and Kobe only got a flagrant 1.  Star treatment, anyone?

Agree?  Disagree?  See it different?  Lemme know.

Another user?

This is interesting allow me to get there. Manny Ramirez has been suspended 50 games for failing a drug test....for a fertility drug, hCG. That is odd, until you realize that steroid users take the fertility drug to restart the body's natural testosterone production. This is normal because a steroid cycle tends to shut down natural testosterone production.

So this now casts some doubts about Ramirez's use. I want to believe that it wasn't steroids. We shall see.

Manny, say it ain't so?

The agony of defeat

I just watched FC Barcelona take FC Chelsea's heart out, straight up kung fu style. The goal from Iniesta occured in the 90th minute. Honestly, I thought the game was over.

The Chelsea started b***hin' and moanin about calls. This is a perfect example of playing until the clock says 00:00.

Now, Barcelona advances to play Man U in Rome on the 27th of this month.

Also, the commercials are plain dumb. What kinda choir sings in a swimming pool? You gettin your gear all wet.

Royal Cy Young?

Filed under: , by: Stankoniforous 0ne

Greinke is playin some serious baseball right now. He is 6-0 with an ERA under 1 (.40 to be exact). Last year's Cy Young winner, Cliff Lee, also jumped to a 6-0 start. Stank-0 believes in history.

He is also helping power the Royals to the head of their division. They now stand at 15-11.

Now Stank-0 is not ready to crown him the best pitcher in baseball, but he's certainly in the
conversation.

It feels good to have good news about dem Royals, mayne.

Hat tricks are for MVPs!

Stank-0 will not mince his words.  AO is the MVP and his hat trick in Game 2 cements it.  Now Sid got him a hat trick but they lost the game so don't nobody care.

Alex Ovechkin's first playoff hat trick was cause for celebration, worthy of so many red caps that Sidney Crosby wanted fans to be told to stop throwing them.

Is it Stank-0 or is Sid turnin into a lil simp?  Sid, they are at home and their boy was smokin.  People throw hats on the ice when there is a hat trick.  Some even throw octopuses.

Here's a way to stop hat throwin...better goaltending.  Sid, ya'll goin home so you can get some home cooking there.

MVP! MVP!

It was inevitable after the King led the Cavs to the best record in the league, the best home record, home court throughout the playoffs, and a first round sweep.

LeBron James is officially the MVP of the NBA! So are we on a collision course for a Lakers-Cavs NBA Finals!?

For serious, shouldn't James have more than one MVP by now? Honestly, when Dirk got his that should have gone to LBJ. This might have to be a blog post of its own?

Any other MVPs that should be redistributed?

Now ready for Pretty Boy!

Manny Pacquiao Chris Farina/Top Rank

In case you haven't heard or were under a rock, or were cut off from the outside world, the Pacquiao-Hatton fight was yesterday.  It was quick.  Pacman Canibus'd Hatton.

What more can Stank-0 say that what hasn't already been said.  This does set up the pound 4 pound crown match with Mayweather, regardless of the Mayweather-Marquez fight.

The people want to see who is the true pound for pound king?  Stank-0 might come outta pocket for the P4P fight.

STILL #1 POUND4POUND "KING PACMAN" WON BY TKO TO HATTON ROUND 2

Boxing needs PacMan vs. Pretty Boy.  There have been no fights that have that buzz.  Who you wit?

135th Kentucky Derby

I Want Revenge has been scratched from the Derby, this morning.  If you got cake riding on this, switch up your bets, EARLY!

Odds have switched to Friesan Fire at 4:1.  Stank-0 isn't a big horse's fan.  Next year he might try to catch one of the big races live to scratch it off his bucket list.

As you were.

Caps-Pens Game 1

Wow Stank-0 tuned in at the 18 min mark of the 2nd period.  What a game so far.  The Caps killed two power plays.  They been playin some great hockey right now.

AO has one goal already.  The Caps have way more shots on goal than the Pens.  The goalies are playin great right now.

WOW WHAT A SEQUENCE THAT WAS!
The puck was in the Pens zone for about 2:30 minutes.  There were a few Caps shots on goal.  Fleury has tightened up fa serious he covered up the last shot.  Now we await the face off.

GOOOOOOAL! 2 tight!  That was a weak goal to give up.  Varlamov had an unobstructed view of the shot, and just failed to corral it.

Stank-0 will come back later.  Ed said it best this is a great weekend of sports

UPDATE!  Shout out to NHL.com because you can watch the game live.  For CHEAP!

UPDATE1!:  Caps win 3-2

Headline grabbers for April

Obviously, Jay's jack move to Chi warrants top billing...for now. A failed trade attempt leads to not speakin which leads to a QB on the cusp of stardom being dealt. Congratulations are in order to Pat Bowlen, neophyte head coach Josh McDaniels, and of course Jay Cutler. Hope you all got what you wanted.

Matthew Stafford for getting HOF money for the 1st pick in the draft.

Jason Campbell for convincing the Skins not to draft yet another QB.

Tony Gonzalez for finally gettin his wish and gettin traded out of KC.

Chauncey Billups for giving Nuggets' fans hopes of gettin out of the 1st round for the 1st time in 5 years.

The Denver Nuggets for doing what they haven't been able to do for quite some time. Get into the 2nd round!

Torry Holt for finding a new team to catch passes for.

Paul Williams for punching the stuffing out of Winky Wright.

Roy Williams for finally winning a title with his own players.'

The Bulls-Celtics epic series is an instant classic. INSTANT CLASSIC!
