NBA deals galore!

Another NBA megadeal. The Matrix has been sent to Dallas.  This is what happens when a NBA player in a good situation doesn't realize he's in a good deal.  Marion went from PHX to MIA to T.O to Dallas.  He hasn't been the same since he left PHX.  It's deeper than that.

Under the sign-and-trade deal, the Orlando Magic traded Hedo Turkoglu to the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors sent Marion, Kris Humphries, Nathan Jawai and cash considerations to Dallas, while also sending a future second round draft pick to the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Mavericks in turn shipped Jerry Stackhouse and cash considerations to the Grizzlies and Devean George and Antoine Wright to Toronto, while the Grizzlies dealt Greg Buckner to Dallas.

The inclusion of Jawai to the Mavericks was a new wrinkle in the deal. In an earlier version, the Raptors were to send Quincy Douby to the Grizzlies instead.

That's a deal for real!  Bottom line some moving parts got moved around so the Matrix and Turkish Jordan could get moved.  Let's move on.  Hopefully the Mavs can utilize Marion to his full usefulness.

The second half of our show focuses on Booz. He is bound for the City of Wind.

Another major multi-team trade might be looming in the NBA with the Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz and Chicago Bulls having discussed a deal that would be headlined by Carlos Boozer and Kirk Hinrich, according to NBA front-office sources.

Let it be known that Stank-0 is a fan of fellow Kansas product Capt. Kirk.  Just to put that out there, however, the Bulls backcourt was extremely crowded with the addition of Rose.  It was inevitable for someone to get shipped.  BG is already in a Pistons uni so Stank-0 is perplexed that they are trying to move Hinrich as well.  Who does that leave to play off guard/shooting guard?  Is Deng a 2 or a 3?

Let's take a look at the roster shall we.

At guard, they have Hinrich, Lindsey Hunter, DeMarcus Nelson, Anthony Roberson, Rose, and John Salmons.  No eye popping talent outside of Rose on that list.  Behold, a continuing problem, too many forwards.

At F: Deng, Taj Gibson, Linton Johnson III, James Johnson, Joakim Noah, John Salmons (G-F), Tim and Tyrus Thomas.

At this point, the Bulls are undermanned at guard and overstaffed at forward.  They traded one problem for another.

Too many people all playing the same position and now you add one more forward in Booz.  Time to start dealing some forwards.  Deng, Tyrus, and Salmons are keepers.  The rest?  Trade bait!
